When you focus on what you are grateful for, you will always be in a better mood. I have learned that the human brain is incapable of being grateful and angry at the same time. Being grateful, allows you to have a better quality of life. Sometimes we tend to pay more attention to the things we lack instead of the things we already have. We focus all our energy on that big house, that car, that pair of shoes we obviously can’t afford. I have learned that in other for me to feel content, I have to give gratitude to the beautiful things I have right now, this moment.
Waking up today
The ability to witness a bright new day is more than a gift in disguise.
Sometimes we take this for granted, we never think of it actually. We focus more on the material stuff, but when you think about it, it one of the most important things we should be grateful for.
Life is kind of like party. You invite a lot of people, some leave early, some stay all night, some laugh at you, and some show up really late. But in the end, after the fun, there are a few who stay to help you clean up the mess. And most of the time, they aren’t even the one who made the mess. These people are your real friends in life. They are the one who matters. When you have good friends like these, you have to show gratitude toward them.
“Family” isn’t defined only by the last name or by blood; it’s defined by commitment and by love. It means showing up when they need it most. It means having each other’s backs. It means choosing to love each even on those days when you struggle to like each other. It means never giving up on each other! And that I am grateful for.
Having that quality time with my family is incomparable, and it’s something that I would always cherish for the rest of my life.
Learning from my mistakes
They say that experience is the best teacher. If no errors were made, then we would never learn. For that, I am very grateful.
I always remind me that happy girls are merely the pretties. There’s no point spending all that energy being angry, sad and unhappy.
Having a place, I call home, a place to come back to after a long hectic day. That, I’m very grateful for.
Food on the table
Doesn’t matter how small or plenty you have, as long as you have food to eat, water to drink, it’s more than enough reason to be grateful.
I’m grateful for my strength, all I have overcome. My ability to love and appreciate myself and family. For all things, I have learned over the year 2018. And not the least, I am grateful for my blog.
